Summer Loving

We had a great weekend visiting with friends and enjoying the summer-like weather. Saturday night we met some friends at Mafiaozas in Mountain Brook for pizza - yum! Jonah enjoyed his time out and about until the last 15 minutes or so when our waiter disappeared. Maybe he was a little disgruntled about the amount of toys and puffs on the floor?? Before we left, I had Ryan snapped a few pics of me and my little man. I am usually the one behind the camera, so it was nice to capture a few moments in front for once.

Sunday morning we met our friends Wendi and Owen at the zoo. It was Jonah's first trip to the zoo, and while the animals didn't impress him much, he enjoyed the train ride and LOVED the water park. He happily sat and clapped at the water while talking up a storm. We may be purchasing an annual membership just for the fountains! With the hot sun and excitement Jonah was exhausted on the way home.Ok, it was me who was exhausted, but geez, it was like 90! Thanks for a fun morning out guys!

Happy 9 Months!

I'm late with this post. Maybe it's our denial that Jonah is growing up faster than we can keep up. We love you kid!
*No more well visits until the 1-year mark, so I don't have any official stats.

Sleep 'til you're hungry, eat 'til you're sleepy.

Yes, this is a terrible picture, but I did not dare turn my flash on while capturing this photo one night after Jonah hit the sack. Well, this is how our little man sleep EVERY night. Ryan and I joke that once he has "transformed" (as in Transformers) with his tush in the air and hands under his belly, he is down for the night. Silly boy. Does it even look comfortable?

Live a boy's life and you'll be happy!

It helps if you eat apples and blueberries for breakfast!

If only I could kiss it and make it all better .....

Here's our happy-go-lucky guy Friday night. All is well in the Babl household.

Here is our drooly, sneezy, fever-ridden guy Sunday night.

The nurses seemed to think it was a fever virus and as of today, Thursday, he 48 hours fever free. However, the runny nose and cough persist .... as do the long nights for Jones and me!

First Mother's Day

One of the teachers in Jonah's class made this for me! What a sweet gift. I am so sad that he will be moving on from their classroom (and from the JCC) in August. Jonah will be starting at UAB in the fall where he will be a 5 minute walk from my office! It may only be 10 more minutes in the car with him, but those minutes are precious.

A Facebook Repeat .... A Facebook Repeat

Sorry facebook friends, you have already seen these pictures. But this is not the smiling face I have seen this week. I have seen a feverish, pitiful little one. I have lots to post, but have been busy with a clingy and demanding Jonah. So, more to come later. In the meantime .....

Yeah for Cabin Fever

This weekend Ryan had his licensing exam prep class all day both days. Combine that with a dreary weekend and Jonah and I were home-ridden. It was such a great weekend to have Jonah all to myself (I did turn him straight over to dad when he got home). We spent lots of time "crawling", open and closing doors (his new favorite pastime), building block towers and knocking them down. I took lots of pics on my SLR (and new lens!) but forgot to download them.

Mirror, Mirror on the Wall!

This has become a new favorite thing. He shakes his head no, kisses the other baby and squeals ..... all of which you will see if you watch the video (Duh Jenny!).

Note: he stands up fine on his own, but I never trust him when the camera is within reach. He tends to lunge for it, hence the hand on that cute little tush!

Mom, is there something on my head?

We get reports back frequently that Jonah spent the day at school crawling under all the cribs, changing tables, jumpers, etc. At home the music table will do!

The same music table that recently ran out the batteries due to some serious usage!

Jones-zilla?

This is a game started by Ryan. Ryan quickly builds a block tower and calls to Jonah, who in return, scoots as quickly as his little legs will take him to said block tower. He then proceeds to knock Ryan's handy work down. Jonah crawls away. Repeat game. Jonah crawls away. Repeat game. You get the idea!
