Big Time

Jonah has grown up a lot the past few weeks. Ryan and I repeatedly ask where our baby has gone? His latest trick is standing on his own. He still doesn't pull himself up, but if you help him and then prop him somewhere, he will stand on his own for quite a while, playing with toys or just looking around. It's kinda funny looking at the back of his (cute) head, but you all know how he gets when the camera is out, so I was afraid he would lunge (another new big boy trick) at the camera if he saw it!

Being a big, independent boy!

I'm still perfectly happy rolling on my belly too!

Ah Da Da

I've mentioned on a couple of occasions Jonah's new found love of "da da". Everything is "da da" or sometimes an "ah da da". He is particularly talkative right out of the bath tub. Ryan and I were trying to catch him in action last night, and while he does talk a little in the video, it's nothing compared to the talking rampages he often goes on. You know how he is when the camera comes out.

Turn up the volume!

The Lumberjack

as his teachers refer to him when he wears this shirt. With one last cold snap hitting us this morning, I thought I'd get a few more wears out of these winter duds. This is the first time Jonah has worn jeans. I know, where have I been! But he looked like such a little boy in them, I had to share.

Life's a Peach

That's right, Jonah has finally jumped on the bandwagon and realized that food = good! And while he looks a little crazed in this photo, I assure you he is enjoying this new milestone.

As if the video is not entertaining enough with him pounding his spoon, demanding more and squealing with delight, I can't get over how aware he is of the camera on the table! The kid loves the camera (and the camera loves him!) so much that this morning, when I got it out to take pictures of him in his "big boy" clothes (post to come this afternoon) he shrieked in joy at the site of it. What does it all mean?

Birthdays are good for you. Statistics show that the people who have the most live the longest.

Two weekends ago, Jonah and I drove to Indy with my mom and brother leaving a hard-working Ryan at home. It was my Grandmother's 80th birthday and she needed to meet Jonah! The visit was great and the party was really fun minus the super virus that hit a third of the party goers leaving them with flu-like symptoms! (Jonah and I were spared) Anyways, pictures tell it best! *Can't take credit for the pics ... courtesy of my sister.
Uncle Mikey and Hayden had a blast "ball hooping" and snuggling!
Three dirty boys in the tub! Hayden was SO smitten by "Baby Jonah"and attended to his every need. I think Jonah was equally smitten! It was so sweet to watch. You're a sweet boy, Hayden!

Fortunately, the weather was nice, but his southern blood still required a hat for warmth.Don't they just look guilty? My siblings! Love you guys!

Seven Months in Video

This is from this morning. I had a bunch of plastic bags that I was throwing up in the air and Jonah thought it was hilarious!

This alien-like squealing comes and goes ... and apparently it is back. I guess it's just one of the many ways Jonah chooses to communicate with us. I'm sure it doesn't help that Ryan and I will laugh hysterically which is sure to egg him on!

This past weekend, during our trip to Indy (I will post pics when Becky shares them with us!!) Jonah was given all kinds of hand-me-downs; clothes, toys, etc. I almost didn't take the Jumperoo because he didn't seem that interested and the thing is HUGE! Needless to say, this is his new found entertainment every morning while I am getting ready. This video does not capture the excitement!

Spring Cleaning

Jonah LOVES taking baths. Particularly banging on the sides of the tub with his stacking cups, kicking his feet to splash and lounging in a way that makes him look wise beyond his years. This particular night, he stayed in the "lounging" pose for the duration of the bath. He is a funny kid!

*And yes, that is apple sauce on his head. And no, he did not eat it!

I'll show you what I've got!
