Busting Moves in the Buff

Wow, did we catch this ham in a mood last night post bath.

Showing of his tricks

Shaking his booty

We got a better video of him, but it was sans diaper and we didn't think he'd appreciate his NA-ked-ness being broadcast across the world wide web.

If the shoe fits ...

Check out these new kicks!

I'm a big boy now.

And a happy boy.

And a hesitant boy when the singing chicken with blinking lights is coming at me.

And man can I make a mess in a hurry.

Sorry Mom, but this is just how I like it.

I love blocks!
Enough with the blocks, Mom.

Is this wrong?

Ok, ok, before you start doubting my skills as a parent (as if) please note that for some (disgusting) reason, this is Jonah's favorite "toy". He will spend hours opening and closing, climbing in and out of the dog crates. It's so funny to watch. Tilly sits right next to him with this confused look on her face. Evidence that he does indeed enjoy this past time:

Drop and give me 20 ..... Cheerios

Any child of Ryan's and you can bet they will be on a strict fitness regime by age 1. Ok, maybe I am exaggerating a little. But Jonah has sure spent his fair share of time in fitness facilities. This weekend we met Dad at his gym for a little workout, only to quickly find that the days of Jones sitting sweetly and quietly in his car seat are over. There was no sitting (at least not quietly) this time. He much preferred to take in the gym at his own pace like it was some kind of obstacle course. Luckily, we were the only ones there, so he had free (safe) reign.

Learning to box. Put 'em up!

You put your right foot in and put your left foot out ....

Jonah takes on the obstacle course. Of course, he is vocal - as al
ways!

Ask your child what he wants for dinner only if he's buying.

I've heard over and over again, "As parents you have to pick your battles". This handy little piece of advice is one that I put in my arsenal for sometime down the road when my child was older and had a strong opinion. Or for when he is 11 months and won't eat dinner unless the swiffer (technically it's Scotch's version we got free .. long story) was within reach. At one point he was pushing it around on the table and it was knocking food everywhere, but Ryan and I were laughing so hard, we couldn't stand our ground and make him put it down.

11 months

Someone please tell me how my sweet, little baby will be a year old in less than a month? I'll cut this short before the nostalgia kicks in and I start reminiscing about my tiny baby who would lay in my arms for hours, but now squirms to get down so he can explore his world. I'll hold off 4 short weeks until I get sappy and look back on the most amazing and chaotic year of my life. My how time flies.

Copy Cat

I can do anything you can do better. Listen closely at the end for Jonah's seductive "bye". For some unknown reason he say it in that voice every time.

Swing, Swing. A Ridiculous Photo Post

We enjoyed a lovely cookout at a coworker's house for the 4th over the long weekend, however, my camera never made it out of the case. I made up for the lost memories on Monday as we all enjoyed a day off at the park and hanging in the coolest room in the house (Jonah's) playing with some new toys.

Bye!

It's kind of a lazy bye, but it sure is cute! This child is "bye" obsessed and will say it to anyone. We are working on turning this into "hi". A little more friendly-like.
