While I'm on a roll with my posts ... did I mention Jonah was sick?
This photo doesn't quite capture the pitifulness that was Jonah the last few days. He was revisited by the fever virus he had back in May. It seems like the May virus was followed by lots of teeth breaking through, so maybe we'll soon be adding to the 6 he has. I was home with him all week (today is my first day back) and as long as the Tylenol was working, he was pretty good. But he just hung on to that fever for 3 days. Yesterday he was fever free, today all is normal again and his friends and teachers were excited to have him back.
Taken yesterday, I'd say he's back to his old silly self.
ATL
I hesitated about going, but I am so glad we made the trip. Ryan and I met some good friends in Atlanta for a night on the town. Jonah had an exciting (and spoiled, I'm sure) weekend with RoRo. We had the most fabulous dinner at JCT Kitchen - seriously, if you are ever in Atlanta, this place is a must - we're still talking about the chocolate cake. After dinner, we enjoyed a beautiful evening outside having drinks and playing bocce ball ... which I might add, was dominated by Team Babl.
Thanks guys, for an awesome time. Let's not wait 4 more years to do it again!

Fun with TP
Saturday morning during my Mom's stay with Jonah (more about that in a bit) Jonah was exploring the bathroom while I was in there getting ready. We stood and watched him discover the toilet paper roll with gasps and a big grin, like it was the greatest toy ever. It was too funny to intervene. He then decided to drag the pile into the hall and fold it up. I still crack a smile every time I reach to the pile on the floor when I need a square!

Splish, splash get me out of this bath
Well, I guess we are in a phase where Jonah is not loving the bath. He can't be perfect, right? He will suffer through it without much complaint if he can stand, which, I will agree is great for reaching all the 2000 parts, but makes bathing a 2-man job. And with a toddler with stinky feet, who comes home daily from school with paint on his hands and sand in his hair, bathing is usually not optional. So, until he is ready to sit and play, it will be a family affair. And that's ok by me!

Well, boys, it's a round ball and a round bat and you got to hit the ball square.

Wow, Wow that looks familiar
Jonah has about as much interest in watching tv as he does in eating the tuna sandwich they served him at school yesterday - none. Well, big cousin Brody had a special relationship with Wow, Wow, Wubzy and really took interest in "him" at this age. So even though I am not a big advocate for tv at Jonah's age, I figured a few minutes of WWW in the morning while Momma gets ready for work can't be all bad. So we recorded a few episodes and I think he likes it - well to be clear he is only interested in the beginning song sequence which I often rewind a couple of times just to see his little toosh in action! And while we are talking about cousins acting alike, I should mention the Stuck boy's shirt Jonah is wearing and the Stuck boy's giraffe (which has been a HUGE hit lately) he is riding on. Aren't hand-me-downs the greatest?
