Hey Jude!

He's here! Jude Ryan Babl came into the world on November 5, 2011 (forever known to Alabama fans as the day they lost the National Championship to LSU!) at 5:41.

After a few days of waiting, we opted for an induction. What a different experience then with Jonah - arriving 9 cm at the hospital! Pitocin was started around 10 and at noon my doctor broke my water. I was able to have an epidural (another very different experience from Jonah's birth!) early on and felt rested and great right up until the last minute. By about 5:15, I was 7 cm and feeling pressure, within 10 minutes I was 10 cm and we were prepping for our little guy - who at the time had yet to be named! Less than 5 minutes of pushing and Jude Ryan entered the world all pink and pretty! He was 8 lbs, 3 oz and was 19 3/4 in long.

Jonah has seemed excited since he first nicknamed his brother Moose months ago. His first time meeting Jude was no different. He wanted to hold him and talk to him, which melted out hearts. He continues to be very interested and gets super concerned when his brother is crying or upset. Seems like it's been a 50/50 split of what Jonah calls him - Moose or Jude!

Everyone is settling in to the new life with ease. Ryan is working half days through the end of the month, which gives us all something to look forward to come lunch time. Grandma RoRo and Aunt Bess have both left after a week here and we are anxiously waiting for Grandma B's arrival tomorrow!

Ryan and I sure feel lucky to have these 2 perfect and sweet boys in our lives!

Meet Jude, through the lens of his Aunt Bess:
