Judester!

Sweet, sweet Jude. I could go on and on about what an awesome baby you are! Jude had his 3 month check up last week, weighing in at 14 lbs, 3 oz, he continues to stay on the 85th percentile curve. He weighs more now than Jonah did at 6 months. Funny how brothers can be so different.

Speaking of difference in siblings, Jude is such a great napper! His morning snooze is usually on the go while we hit up playgroup, a park, errands or whatever else we have planned. In the afternoon, he falls right to sleep in his own bed - usually timed perfectly with big brother's nap, which makes it SO nice on mom!

Jude enjoys his baths, loves watching Jonah and/or the dogs play and will smile at anyone! He is so mellow and easy going.

For the past 2 weeks, he has been working on his rolling over skills. Well, you see from the video below, he has it down to an exact science. He prefers to hang out on his belly - better to see the world I think.

Although Jonah has, for the most part, dropped "Moose" he still affectionately calls him "Jude-y" much to Ryan's dissaproval. Jonah is such a sweet and doting big brother. The first thing Jonah wants in the morning is to see his "baby brother". How'd I get so lucky with such sweet boys?

I love to laugh and especially think my Mama is silly!

February Catch Up!

The months continue to fly by, as do the weeks this blog sits untouch! Here is an update of the whole month to get you caught up!

My Little Valentine!

Playgroup Valentine's Day Party where Jonah carried around this cupcake the ENTIRE party. At the end, he had consumed all the frosting and asked me to throw the rest away! Goof.

We have been waiting all year for Big Machine's Day to come back to the McWane Science Center. Jonah enjoyed it thoroughly last year, but this year, wow! Anyone who knows this kid knows that he is obsessed with all things construction. Obsessed! He was in construction heaven!
I am told frequently that he may have a future in the construction field. Seems kinda funny considering his parents, but whatever makes you happy, little dude!

And then, as it often happens in February, the weather turns spring-like and we spend all day outside. Today was that day as the temps reached a balmy 75! First the park, then the backyard where, of course, Jonah could be found digging in the sand and dirt with his dump truck and excavator.

Jonah has also been working on his soccer skills. Uncle Mikey would be proud. I think we have an athlete on our hands. (You should see this kid hit a baseball off a tee!)

This month also brought a runny nose and cough to the house. Jonah is still stuffy, but it doesn't seem to bother him much. This is the first time he has been sick since January 2011. That makes me feel pretty good!

Where's Jude, you ask? Well, I am saving a post just for him with all the exciting things he has going on. Stay tuned!

Christmas at Ro Ro's

Around here we like to keep Christmas going the whooooooooooole week. So after we celebrated at our house, the Stuck clan came by Birmingham to swoop up me and the boys to head to my mom's. Ryan made it over later in the week after wrapping up work.

These three always manage to have a BLAST together!

Such nice weather - we took a trip to the park once Daddy arrived.

Super cool digger at the park.

Crazy, wind-whipped hair!

Jonah had a pretty darn good time with Uncle Mikey too. Here they are passing time coloring while we were out to eat. Yep, we were outside on the patio!! Gotta love the south.

We had such a good visit and felt like I had lots of quality time with my nephews and siblings while everyone got plenty of the Babl boys!

Christmas Morning

Wait! What? Christmas is already over and it's 2012?? When did that happen? First of all, it sure doesn't feel like New Years when you've got your windows open and you're playing outside in the 70 degree weather. Seems like yesterday was Christmas morning and Jonah was pretty pumped about the loot Santa brought.

The train set was (and still is) quite the hit.

But let's be honest, Lightning McQueen stole the show!

This little dude didn't get much in the toy department, but he sure got a lot of hugs and kisses. And just think of all Jonah's toys as your future hand-me-downs!

There was a whole lot of love going on that day!

Jonah plays the blues

Just a silly video of this silly boy playing his harmonica. In typical Jonah fashion, he has on no pants and two different pairs of shoes. Whateva!

I do this every time. I vow to be better about updating the blog and then a month has gone by and I realize I haven't touched it! I am blaming it on two things:

1) I have a 2 year old and a newborn and my time is precious, my house is never clean and I am permanently tired; leaving the blog pretty much at the bottom of my priority list somewhere near showering.

2) I am obsessed with my IPad and find no reason to get on my antiquated laptop anymore; which is necessary to update the blog.

But I am here today to make up for it in the form of a month-long wrap-up photo bomb. So you forgive me? Thanks!

Can I just say, I am a lucky girl. Jonah ADORES his baby brother. Seriously, it's crazy how much he loves this kid, I can only hope Jude returns the affection over the next few years!

So, we do a lot of just hanging out, me and my boys!

And lots of lounging from Jude while Jonah and I play.

Our little guy is growing up TOO fast, but at least we are rewarded with lots of smiles!

And when things get chaotic, Jude finds refuge in Daddy's arm. We find him sleeping in some form of this "model" pose often (or as Ryan has dubbed it, "Senior picture"pose)

Brotherly love :)

Cheese!

Also in December, we got a visit from Uncle Jeff. Jonah had a blast with him and for all you Cars fans, his favorite past time with Jeff, having Mater "scare" the tractors. Sorry for the lame pic, it's from Jeff's phone. We were so busy having a good time, I forgot to take many photos. Then when we did break out the camera, there was some weird shadow on all the pictures from something on my lens.... sigh!

So that more or less brings us up to this last weekend. We took our first family-of-four outing to Triangle Park (dubbed bulldozer park by Jonah) to see Santa. He came in in style riding on a firetruck. That was enough to impress Jonah, but then they started carolling and handing out candy canes, so he was totally sold!

Mama and Jonah in front of the firetruck. He looks pretty disappointed, huh?

How cool am I?

Of course we made time for dirking after we saw Santa.

The few minutes he was awake, he spent all warm and cozy here!
