Goodnight room. Goodnight moon. Goodnight cow jumping over the moon.

Our theme for the weekend: When it rains in Birmingham, it pours! A very dreary and damp (and kinda cold) weekend allowed us to spend our whole Saturday painting the nursery. The colors turned out so beautiful and the web will do them no justice. In fact, when we were admiring our handy work on Sunday, we joked about moving our furniture in there and started over with the baby’s room!

We did a dark blue/slate on the bottom and went two shades lighter on top. Where you see the tan strip in the middle, will actually be a white chair rail by this weekend. We actually debated keeping the tan stripe and joked that people pay loads of money to get the look we got accidentally!

We also ordered the crib this weekend and hope to have most of the nursery finished by the time everyone is in town for our shower next month. Our baby just might have the pimpest pad in daycare!

The day begins with a clean slate.

The majority of the morning was spent perfecting our tape job.

Top and bottom color done!

Another view, better lighting to see true colors.

Tilly - never far from the action. We had to drag her bed in for the day!
