Eat, drink and be scary.

A year ago, we spent Halloween doing this:

This year was a bit more exciting! Jonah got great use of his hand-me-down dragon/dino costume (thanks Stuck cousins!) wearing it to his fall festival at school Friday and then again on Sunday night for Halloween.

Enjoying the non-stop, glorious weather, we went up the street to the Mountain Brook Halloween parade. Last year, we enjoyed it from our stroller:

This year, Jonah was an active participant walking and talking, stopping to smile at the pretty high school girls all dressed up and even dancing to the music. Such a social child!

Taking it all in.

From the best seat in the house.

I can't tell you how much I love this photo!

A view from above - watching the parade and hoping some candy falls his way!

Speaking of candy, back at home we continued to enjoy the outdoors hanging out in the front yard to greet (the handful of) trick or treaters.

MMMM, candy. Sorry Jones, you're a little too young for laffy taffy and we bought that on purpose, so your Dad and I wouldn't end up eating it all!

We ended Halloween with some homemade chicken and dumplings to warm us up. Happy Halloween!
