Last week we had an ultrasound and blood work done as a standard screening for chromosomal abnormalities. My doctor does this for all his patients, even though we are not "at risk" he feels like it's an opportunity to check on the baby and make sure everything looks good. Did I mention insurance covers it? So we said "yep"!
Even at just 13.5 weeks, it's amazing what you can see on the screen looking at your child. Well, during the scan, he was cooperative. Yes, I said "HE" as in, the doctor told us she is 90% sure it is indeed another boy! Of course, we won't be painting any nursery or monogramming clothing yet, but it sure looked like boy parts to me! Hopefully we will get a confirmation at our 20-week anatomy scan. In the meantime, we think the idea of another boy is wonderful and can't wait to meet him.
